Packaging Case Study

Ammex Gloves: Capturing Attention in a New Channel

Background

AMMEX is the premier importer and vendor of high-quality disposable gloves and other personal protective coverings. From a one-man operation in a basement office in Bellevue, Washington to 275-plus team members in 10 cities worldwide, AMMEX has grown into a global leader in products that enhance health, hygiene, and safety across a wide spectrum of industries.

Vying for Retail Visibility

When it came time to launch a retail-ready version of their Gloveworks® product, AMMEX sought an eye-catching way to display their 6- and 10-pair glove packs in the retail environment.

Armed with a general concept but lacking the design resources to execute on it internally, AMMEX sought a packaging partner who could bring their vision to life and help ensure sales channel success.

A Winning Go-to-market Team

With a consultative approach, our award-winning structural designers were able to provide the client with a selection of retail display design options that met their needs both creatively and functionally. The final vision for the structure came to life with the help of a professional graphic designer from The BoxMaker’s network of resources. Aware that the project would be digitally printed, the designer was able to leverage this technology to craft high impact full-color graphics to capture attention in the retail aisle.

In addition to optimizing the structural and visual aspects of the display, The BoxMaker identified opportunities to streamline assembly and reduce labor costs for AMMEX by leveraging their in-house fulfillment team.
